What does off-plan resale mean?

An off-plan resale (often called an assignment or a flip) is a secondary sale of a unit that is still under construction: the original buyer sells their contract to a new buyer before handover.

Formula: Off-plan resale share = off-plan resales ÷ all off-plan sales × 100

What should you watch out for?

  • Developers set their own rules (for example a minimum paid percentage) before an off-plan unit can be resold.
